Open Studios takes place over 2 weekends. It is part of the wider programme of Site Festival, allowing artists to explore, develop projects and open their work up to the public.

A mixed-media exhibition responding to the theme ‘Contemplation & Transformation’ - showcasing the work of 8 South West-based artists; each has exhibited in public, solo exhibitions, group shows and festivals throughout the UK.  

The Open Studios 2023 Taster Exhibition in the Stroud town centre offers visitors an opportunity to see one piece of work by each of the Open Studios artists, so you can plan your studio visits over the two weekends. 

Studio 3 is a collective of Stroud based artists sharing skills, teaching techniques and creating mixed media artworks.

We have planned a diverse exhibition for SITE Open Studios 2023 to be displayed throughout the studios and gallery consisting of original prints that embrace different themes, scale and processes.

THISS presents a series of visual responses to a rural location, five artists, a range of mediums, different ends and interaction with the environment and each other.

A retrospective studio opening for the studio of Adam White who passed away on Christmas Day 2022, aged 54. He wanted as many people as possible to continue to enjoy his wonderful work so his studio at SVA will be open.

Directed by Mika the Parrot. Concept by Adam White, who wanted loads of artists to have a piece in their studio as part of a trail. Something that would appeal to everyone, and be a curiosity for both artists and visitors. So he devised “Parrots: A Flagrant Exhibition of Mimicry”.

This exhibition at Nutshell Studios responds to the heightened sense of nature-culture mergings in a psychological space informed by the physical experience of the land.

Visit Stroud Pottery - The Studios is home to a collective of multi-disciplinary artists who work independently from their own spaces exploring a range of mediums; clay, glass, mosaic, woodcut printmaking, illustration and textiles.

Visit Hawkwood College to see Mark Clifford in the Amber Sculpture Studio, and Helen Blencowe in Studio 3 over both Open Studios weekends. Extra weekday Opening Times : Wednesday 14th June, Thursday 15th June and Friday 16th June 10-4 pm. (please note : the community cafe is unable to open on these days)

Exhibition of paintings at Klang Tone Records - 8th June – 24th June 2023. Sood’s artworks act as ‘portals’ into seeing what connects us, and are rooted in a profound political sensibility. Ritu will also have her studio open at SVA for Site Festival Open Studios, exhibiting her ‘Moodscapes’ paintings. Plus her ‘Synergies’ series is on show at the Taster Exhibition.

An Open Exhibition of our members’ work at Lansdown Gallery - it will be packed full of interest and colour. Our Open Exhibitions tend to be very dynamic as our members have a wide range of styles and talent.

Young Artist Residency #5 at John Street Gallery, SVA. Sophie's practice lands somewhere in the intersections of writing and image-making. Sophie is using the residency space again to explore how her often introverted practice can expand into a public context.

Almuth Tebbenhoff's first solo exhibition at Gallery Pangolin, 'Unsentimental Beauty' is now open. Inspired by nature and fascinated by the way objects of beauty and intrigue can emerge from industrial processes: creates work in a variety of different materials including bronze, silver, ceramic and fabricated steel.
